Description
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park spans 5631 acres of land, with 280 acres dedicated to core safari and the rest to a biodiversity park. The park as a whole will be a learning center. To ensure a sustainable design, the master plan is developed through wildlife monitoring, biodiversity and forest conservation, resettlement action, socio-economic development, and a waste management plan. There are three key sections to the Safari Park; Public Plaza, Core Safari and Safari Kingdom.
Public Plazain is an open space where visitors may walk around or use the shuttle buggies to access different activities in the Park. For visitors to learn about nature, there is a nature interpretation center and nature history museum and multipurpose hall. For refreshment purposes, there are food kiosks and public toilets.
Core Safari visitors must board special Safari Buses to explore several animal zones such as Asian Herbivores, African Herbivores, Reptiles, African Carnivores, and Asian carnivores. The entire 6-kilometer ride will take roughly 35 minutes.
Safari Kingdom: Different Species of Birds are categorized in aviaries.
